Dear Mr Whitacre,
respecting your time and the many messages you receive I´ll keep it short and come straight to the point.
As a passionate SAAB driver for many years now I appeal to you trying every necessary effort to sell SAAB rather than close it.
For me SAAB stands for
• modern technology
• safety
• friendly and fair dealers
• reliable service
• individualism
• and many more qualities
When I bought my first SAAB – it was a SAAB 96 back in the early 1980´s – I soon became a fan because there were so many features built in that excited me and I had never seen in any other car. For me it seemed as if my car was constructed and designed by drivers like me and that SAAB vehicles were manufactured by people who would rather drive themselves but sell them.
If there is any opportunity to proceed in this tradition and keep the brand and the company alive then please, Mr Whitacre do all you can to sell but close SAAB.
In the end people (the public) will remember GM resp. YOU as the one who fought for high quality standards and variety in the vehicle branch and cared for the finanial existence of thousands of families. There is no better Christmas present you can give to the world.
Thank you for your time and attention and wishing you a blissful Christmas
Christoph Boehling
