How do journalists use the internet?
Here are the results of a study from summer…
- 95% search
- 92% reading news
- 92% emailing
- 89% finding story ideas
- 87% finding news sources
- 75% reading blogs
- 64% watching webinars
- 61% watching YouTube
- 59% social networks
What do those numbers tell us?
Journalists are a great potential for spreading your word around.
Nine of ten journalists use the web for their research purposes, will say many of the information you can read in the newspapers, hear on radio or see on tv come from the internet.
Imagine you were a journalist and your job was to fill the white pages that way that make the public come back again. Where can you get all the thrilling stories from, meet all those interesting people and learn all that helpful stuff without leaving your office if not from the internet.
So if you want journalists to spread the information about your product, your idea, then give them what they are looking for. Write articles, blogposts, make webinars, post videos on youtube, be active in the social networks and invite people to read your emails.
Keep in mind: Whatever you do will cause results – even if you don´t do anything!
